Clients who
commission a survey, often miss out, or do not
fully understand, the surveyor's statement
regarding the state of the electrical or heating
and plumbing services. Clearly, surveyors are
not experts in these fields (as they will
readily confirm), but they should be aware of
basic shortcomings. It makes a great deal of
sense therefore, to have these services properly
checked out BEFORE a client moves into the
property, only to discover (for example) that
the central heating system is useless, or the
whole of the garage supply is electrically
UNSAFE. These issues are easily identified by
one of our Pre-Purchase Surveys, which checks
out all aspects of an installation (see
Visual Electrical Safety Survey and
Visual Plumbing and Heating Survey).
Although these are 'Visual' surveys, we can still
tell a great deal about the installations, and
if necessary, will recommend further
investigations or tests. These surveys provide a
low cost 'Peace of Mind' report, which avoids
any nasty shocks later on.
