Electrical installations deteriorate with ongoing
use and with the passage of time. It is therefore
important that the installation is periodically
checked to ensure that it remains SAFE to all users
(including livestock!), and is not (reasonably)
likely to cause electric shock or burns, damage
property by fire and heat, or otherwise damages to
impair safety.
Any deficiencies noted will need repair or
replacement. Such deficiencies are graded to
indicate their importance on safety.
The Test is a Technical Report on any electrical
installation in any type of property (domestic,
retail, commercial, social housing etc.).
The frequency of carrying out this test is
(basically) recommended as follows: |

Restaurants/Pubs/Hotels
Offices and Shops
Caravan Parks |
Every 10 years
Every 3-5 years
Every 5 years
